FAQ

Questions we get asked.

Can't find yours? Email hello@takeoffqty.com or use the contact form.

What counts as a sheet?

One drawing: a single plan, layout or elevation at any size up to A0. A PDF page with two floor plans on it counts as two sheets. Cover sheets, legends, schedules and detail sheets we only read for reference are free.

How fast will I get my takeoff?

Lite delivers in 72 hours, Pro in 24 hours and Max on the same working day for jobs confirmed before 12:00. The clock starts when we confirm the scope, which we do within 2 working hours of your upload. Jobs over 40 sheets get a delivery time with the scope confirmation.

Which files can I upload?

PDF (vector or scanned), DWG and DXF. Vector PDFs exported from CAD give the most accurate results. Scanned PDFs are fine, but we check the scale against a known dimension and note it in the report. Revit models are planned for later.

How accurate are the quantities?

Every item is measured, then checked in a second pass against the legends, schedules and sheet totals. Anything unclear on the drawing is listed as a query in the notes instead of guessed. If we make a mistake, we correct it free on every plan.

Do you price the quantities?

No. We deliver quantities only, and you apply your own rates. The Excel sheet has an empty rate and amount column next to every item, so you can price it straight away.

Are my drawings kept confidential?

Your drawings are used only for your takeoff and never shared. They are deleted 30 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them for revisions. We are happy to sign your NDA before you upload.

Can you deliver in our BOQ format?

Yes, on the Max plan. Upload your template once and every takeoff comes back in it. Other plans use our standard sheet, which follows the usual trade order and works with most BOQ layouts.

What if my drawings are incomplete?

We measure what is shown and list what is missing. If something stops us measuring, like no scale or a missing legend, we message you before the delivery clock starts.

Can I pay per project instead of monthly?

Yes. Single projects are SAR 35 per sheet with a minimum of SAR 350, delivered in 72 hours. You get a price with the scope confirmation, and the delivery clock starts when you pay.

Do unused sheets roll over?

No. Sheets reset at the start of each billing month. If you often go over, the next plan up is usually cheaper than paying for extra sheets.

How do I pay?

Online through PayPal, with a debit or credit card or a PayPal account. PayPal has no Saudi riyal, so the charge is in US dollars at the fixed rate of SAR 3.75 to the dollar. Plans are paid one month at a time and don't renew on their own. You get a receipt by email.

Have drawings ready?

Upload them now. We check every sheet and confirm the scope and delivery time within 2 working hours, before any work starts.
